Bolt Action: Sd.Kfz 250 (Alte) Half-track
$35.00
The Bolt Action Sd.Kfz 250 (Alte) Half-track is a Warlord Games kit of the light German half-track, with parts for the 250/1, 250/9 and 250/11 versions.
The Sd.Kfz 250 was a shortened version of the Sd.Kfz 251 Hanomag, used mainly by scout and HQ units for reconnaissance and transport. Like its longer cousin it appeared in many variants, from cable and ammunition carriers to radio vehicles. It carried six men including the driver and co-driver, with two pintle mounted MG34s, one shielded and facing forward, the other covering the rear and the air. This model is the original Alte (old) body, which served through the war in every theater with Germany and its Romanian allies.
Build the standard 250/1 armored half-track; the 250/9, a fully enclosed reconnaissance variant with a turret and 2cm automatic cannon; or the 250/11 platoon commander's vehicle, with its forward machine gun replaced by a 2.8cm Panzerbuchse 41 squeeze bore anti tank rifle and co-axial machine gun. Crew figures come with separate heads in regular or winter uniform.
