Army Painter: Speedpaint 1.0 Starter Set

The Army Painter Speedpaint Starter Set is the original Speedpaint 1.0 set: ten 18ml Speedpaints and a brush, built to take a beginner to tabletop quality miniatures quickly.

Speedpaint is a one coat painting solution. Heavy, high quality pigments sit in a resin medium that flows over the miniature, pooling in the recesses for shade and thinning on the raised areas for highlight. Apply one rich coat of Speedpaint directly over a primed miniature and the shading and highlighting happen in that single application, which is why The Army Painter sums it up as more time for gaming.

The ten colors pair everyday tones, Pallid Bone, Crusader Skin, Hardened Leather and Gravelord Grey, with strong colors from Zealot Yellow and Fire Giant Orange to Blood Red, Hive Dweller Purple, Highlord Blue and Orc Skin. Each bottle has mixing balls preloaded, so a short shake brings the paint back to an even consistency. This is the 1.0 formula; The Army Painter's later 2.0 set is a different product.
