Polystyrene cuts cleanly with a hobby knife or razor saw, sands smooth and bonds with standard plastic cement, so it joins directly to plastic kits. Cut pieces to length, glue them in place, then prime and paint as you would any kit part. The opaque white color makes marking out and checking joins easy.
