AK Interactive Sepia Lead (Hard) is a grease based sepia lead pencil for modelers who want to draw fine rust scratches on vehicle models.
Rust scratches are some of the smallest weathering marks on a vehicle and among the hardest to paint with a brush. This special sepia colored lead lets you draw them directly: for very fine, controllable scratches you only need to sharpen the tip.
It is a hard lead, which AK describes as most suitable for matte surfaces, drawing fine, sharp edged lines, scratches and inscriptions easily. Work on a matte finish, use light strokes along edges, around hatches and where tools or boots would rub, and build up a few marks at a time so the effect stays believable.
