AK Interactive Oxidizing Agent is the 18ml catalyst that triggers real oxidation on the AK Iron Effect and Bronze Effect paints, for genuine rust and verdigris on your models.
This catalyst reacts on contact with the special IRON paint (AK11266) and BRONZE paint (AK11267). Brush the effect paint on first and let it dry, then apply the agent over it. On Iron Effect, the iron microparticles in the paint oxidize naturally; on Bronze Effect, the reaction produces a bluish green verdigris. The final look develops as the piece rests and the oxidation takes hold.
The agent can be diluted with water to achieve more subtle results, which lets you control how strong the corrosion looks from one area to the next. It works only in combination with those two paints, so pair it with Iron Effect for rust or Bronze Effect for verdigris.
