The AK Interactive Precision Hand Drill is an aluminum pin vise for modelers drilling small, accurate holes in kits, figures and craft work.
The drill body is aluminum alloy, lacquered black with the AK logo, and it accepts drill bits from 0.2 to 3.4mm. Fit a bit in the chuck, tighten it, then turn the drill slowly between your fingers while pressing lightly with the other hand on the top. Hand drilling gives you far more control than a power tool on small plastic, resin or metal parts.
Typical jobs include hollowing gun barrels and exhausts, opening holes for pinning figures to bases, drilling locating holes for magnets or wire, and making mounting points for antennas and rigging. AK also lists it for general craft and jewelry work.
