AK Interactive Elastic Rigging Bobbin Hyper Thin is a 20m spool of fine elastic thread for 1/72 aircraft rigging and 1/350 to 1/700 vessel antennas.
Elastic thread is a practical way to add realistic bracing, rigging and antenna lines to aircraft, boats, sci fi builds and dioramas. Because it stretches, you fix one end, pull the thread gently past the second point and glue it there, and it settles into a naturally taut line that will not sag.
Handle it with tweezers, glue it with cyanoacrylate, and trim the excess with a sharp blade. Once it is in place it takes color easily from an ink marker or silver paint if you want a metallic wire look. This Hyper Thin grade is rated 40D, about 0.030mm thick, which AK recommends for 1/72 rigging and for 1/350 to 1/700 vessel antennas.
