A handmade summer birch tree from AK Interactive, for dioramas in 1/35 and 1/32 (54mm).

At 1/35 a tree has to hold up to close inspection, because it sits right beside figures and vehicles that have had hours of detail work. AK builds its ready made trees by hand and describes them as meticulously crafted and very realistic. Each one is made individually, so there are minor differences from tree to tree, and that variation is what keeps a scene with more than one tree from looking repeated.

This birch is in full summer leaf, standing about 26 to 27cm tall on a small base so it can go straight into a diorama. The pale birch trunk reads instantly as Northern and Eastern Europe, which makes it a natural fit for summer scenes on the Eastern Front or in Scandinavia.
