AK Interactive: 3G Leather And Buckles Set
Six 3rd Generation acrylics for the leather and metal fittings that turn up on figures from any period.
Every miniature with a belt has this problem. Leather, buckles, buttons and boots are small, they are everywhere, and they are what makes a figure look finished, but nobody buys a whole paint range for them. This set is the shortcut. Leather brown is the base, with leather highlights and a leather dark shade to work either side of it, and medium orange to warm up worn or oiled areas where the surface has been handled. Then the two metals: gilt metal for brass buckles and buttons, and a silver and metal midtone for steel fittings and scuffed edges. That covers a historical infantryman, a fantasy adventurer and a modern trooper with the same six bottles, which is the point of it.
