AK Interactive: 3G IDF Early Sand Yellow
$4.99
The earlier, warmer sand yellow of Israeli armour, from AK Interactive's AFV range.
Israeli vehicles did not stay one colour, and this is the first of the two tones the AFV range covers: a warmer, more yellow sand than the grey that replaced it later. Getting the era right matters more here than on most subjects, because Israeli armour is famous for running captured and rebuilt vehicles, so a Sherman, a Centurion and a Magach can all appear in the same collection wearing the same official colour of their own decade. Pick the wrong one and the model is accurate in every detail except the thing the eye notices first.
The AFV label marks the colours AK has matched specifically for military vehicles across armies and periods. The 3rd Generation formula is non toxic, very highly pigmented, and made to airbrush cleanly when thinned rather than clogging, while covering well under a brush. The cap carries the colour for quick identification.
