Denison Tan Base, the base tan for the British Denison smock, from AK Interactive's Figures range.
The Denison smock, with its brushstroke camouflage over a pale tan ground, is the garment that identifies British airborne and special forces figures of the Second World War at a glance. Painting it convincingly is a layering job: the whole smock goes down in the base tan first, and the darker brushstroke patterns are added over it. Because the tan shows between every stroke, it sets the tone of the entire garment. This bottle is that base.
The Figures label marks AK's compilation of very specific colors for painting historical figures, including WWI, WWII and modern uniforms. The 3rd Generation formula is non toxic, very highly pigmented, and made to airbrush cleanly when thinned rather than clogging, while covering smoothly under a brush. The cap shows the color so the bottle is quick to find.
