AK Interactive: 3G Air - WWII RAF Coastal Command & RN Fleet Air Arm SET
$26.99
AK Interactive WWII RAF Coastal Command & RN Fleet Air Arm Colors is a six-color acrylic set for painting British maritime aircraft of World War II.
It covers the Temperate Sea Scheme adopted in 1939: Dark Slate Grey and Extra Dark Sea Grey on the upper surfaces, plus the four underside colors used with it. Sky Grey served from 1939 to September 1940, Sky took over from then on Fleet Air Arm aircraft and some Coastal Command torpedo bombers and long range fighters, Black replaced Sky for night operations, and Insignia White went on anti-submarine aircraft of both services.
From February 1943 Extra Dark Sea Grey became the single upper surface color for most RAF coastal aircraft, and the Fleet Air Arm made the same change after the war.
