The 3G auxiliary line, identified by labels with a gray circle, is a group of specially formulated mediums that modify the properties of paints. Glaze Medium dilutes the paint and extends its drying time, which is what glazing and mixing call for.
A glaze is a thin, translucent layer that tints the color beneath it instead of covering it. Diluting the paint with the medium takes it toward that translucency, and the longer drying time gives you room to lay the glaze smoothly, build several thin layers, or blend a mix before the paint sets.
