Warpaints Fanatic Wash: Dark Blue Tone from The Army Painter is a dark blue wash for shading miniatures and reinforcing their details.
Fanatic Washes are an acrylic, water-based wash. Their flow properties carry the pigment off the raised surfaces and into the recesses of a model, so one brushstroke over a basecoated miniature darkens folds, panel lines and crevices. The result is shading and contrast that brings the sculpted detail into sharp focus.
The Dark Blue Tone is one of 18 washes in the Warpaints Fanatic range, and the washes are 100% mixable, so you can blend them into your own shading solution. Shake the bottle for about 30 seconds, then squeeze out a little to check the consistency; if it still separates, shake a few seconds more.
