The AK Interactive Steel Bristle Pencil is an abrasive scratch brush in pencil form for precise cleaning, rust removal and hard scribing work.
Steel gives the hardest bristles and the strongest scraping ability in AK's bristle pencil range, suited to hard scribing and tough surface preparation on a variety of materials. A propelling pencil action sets how much of the steel fiber is exposed: twist the end of the pen to push the tip out or pull it back. The shorter the fibers showing, the more abrasive the action.
Outside the hobby it cleans contacts, connection surfaces, plates and soldering points. At the modeling bench it is a scenery tool: drag it across foam to raise texture, or across plastic, resin and similar materials to add scratches and wear. The range also includes brass, fiberglass, nylon and hard nylon pencils, so you can match the bristle to the job.
