The AK Interactive Side Cutter is a pair of oblique cutting pliers for modelers who want to take parts off the sprue with precision.
Oblique cutters have angled jaws that let you bring the cutting edge in close to the part, so you can clip the sprue gate near the piece and leave less to clean up with a knife or file afterward. AK makes these for precise part removal from sprues and for cutting soft wire, copper or alpaca, up to a maximum of 1mm thick.
That wire capacity makes them useful for scratch building as well as assembly: trimming copper wire for antennas, grab handles, pipework or cables on a vehicle, figure or diorama. The handle is designed for a comfortable grip, which matters when you are working through a large kit one part at a time.
