AK Interactive: Cork Sheets - Fine Grained - 200 X 300 X 1mm (2 Sheets)
$6.99
AK Interactive Cork Sheets Fine Grained 200 x 300 x 1mm is a pack of two thin natural cork sheets for modelers building bases, dioramas and terrain.
Cork is the bark of the cork oak, a tree found mainly in the western Mediterranean. This pack holds 2 sheets of fine grained cork, each 200 x 300mm and 1mm thick. The fine grain gives a tighter, smoother surface than coarse cork, which keeps the texture in proportion on smaller subjects.
A 1mm sheet cuts easily with a hobby knife or scissors. Use it to raise a base surface, lay a subtle layer of ground or slab work, or stack and tear it into thin rock strata. Glue it down with PVA white glue, then prime and paint it along with the rest of the scene.
