AK Interactive Black Spring 2.5mm is a pair of fine black steel compression springs for modelers detailing pipes and hoses on scale models.
Inside are two high quality steel compression springs, 15cm long and 2.5mm in diameter, finished in black. The close wound coil gives a ribbed hose texture that is hard to sculpt or print at this size, and AK makes them specifically for pipes and hoses on scale models.
AK recommends a wire inside the spring to set its shape: bend the wire along the path the hose should take, feed the spring over it, and it stays put. Snip to length with side cutters and fix the ends with cyanoacrylate glue.
