AK Interactive: 3G S.C.C - No.1A Very Dark Brown
S.C.C. No.1A Very Dark Brown, a British disruptive color, from AK Interactive's AFV range.
S.C.C. stands for Standard Camouflage Colour, the numbered system that replaced Khaki Green No.3 on British vehicles during the Second World War. No.1A Very Dark Brown was used for the disruptive patterns painted over the base color, the dark shapes that break up a vehicle's outline. Painting the pattern from a matched bottle keeps it consistent across a vehicle or a unit, and a very dark brown also serves for deep shadows, tracks and rust.
The AFV label marks the colors AK has chosen for painting military vehicles of every era, the specific tones used by different armies in different periods and matched to references such as RAL and FS. The 3rd Generation formula is non toxic, very highly pigmented, and made to airbrush cleanly when thinned rather than clogging, while covering well under a brush. The cap shows the color so the bottle is quick to find.
