AK Interactive: 3G RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb Ausgabe 1944
$4.99
RAL 7028 Dunkelgelb Ausgabe 1944, the 1944 issue of German dark yellow, from AK Interactive's AFV range.
From 1943 German armor left the factory in Dunkelgelb RAL 7028, with Olivgrün and Rotbraun supplied for crews to apply as camouflage over it, so Dunkelgelb is the base color of every late war German vehicle. It was never one exact shade: factories, batches and the 1944 reissue all differ, and it faded quickly in the field. That is why AK offers it in three versions, the initial shade, the 1944 issue and a variant, so a model can be matched to its reference, or panels varied on the same vehicle. This is the 1944 issue, Ausgabe 1944, for vehicles from the last period of the war.
The AFV label marks the colors AK has chosen for painting military vehicles of every era, the specific tones used by different armies in different periods and matched to references such as RAL and FS. The 3rd Generation formula is non toxic, very highly pigmented, and made to airbrush cleanly when thinned rather than clogging, while covering well under a brush. The cap shows the color so the bottle is quick to find.
