AK Interactive: 3G Neon Colors Set

Six 3rd Generation acrylics for neon and fluorescent effects on figures and models.

What makes these different is pigment intensity. Fluorescent colours work by re-emitting light rather than simply reflecting it, and to do that the resin they sit in has to stay semi transparent, which is why AK recommends putting them over a white surface or a white primer. Get that right and the colour genuinely glows under normal light: paint a plasma coil, an energy blade, a warning stripe or a cyberpunk sign and it will read as lit rather than just brightly coloured. Skip the white and the same paint goes dull, because there is nothing underneath to bounce light back through it. The set covers the useful range with fluorescent yellow, magenta, orange, green and blue plus a luminous orange, and all six take the 3rd Generation high coverage formula. Thinned with the dedicated thinner they airbrush as easily as lacquer based paints.
