Foundry Red, a red metallic from the Metallic range of AK Interactive's 3rd Generation acrylics.
A red metallic reads as lacquered, polished or glowing, which ordinary red paint cannot do. Foundry Red suits candy paintwork on cars, bikes and hot rods, the armored plates of sci fi and fantasy heroes, ornate weapons and jewelry, and the hot, glowing look of metal fresh from a furnace. Paint it over a dark base for depth, then glaze and highlight to make the metallic sheen stand out.
AK's Metallic range is marked by a dark blue circle on the label. The colors are made with ultrafine metallic pigment for an intense but soft finish, which keeps the surface smooth rather than grainy, and the 3rd Generation formula is made for brush or airbrush work.
