AK Interactive: 1/35 Land Rover 88 Series IIA Rover 8
$59.99
The AK Interactive Land Rover 88 Series IIA Rover 8 is a 1/35 plastic model kit of the military spec short wheelbase Land Rover as built in the mid-1960s.
The Series IIA, made from 1961 to 1971 with 88-inch and 109-inch wheelbases, was the improved second generation of the famous British off-roader and became popular in the Commonwealth, the Middle East and Africa. This kit shows typical Rover 8 features: the pusher front bumper, straight rear crossmember, bumperettes with D-rings, vertical side and flasher lamps, IR-type headlights, extra petrol tank, optional front and rear towing pintles, Warner and NATO trailer sockets, and the shovel and pickaxe on the tailboard.
The original civilian type rim is also offered to open up more versions. Details changed with use, theater and contract, so check references when modeling a particular vehicle.
