Infinity N5: A Newcomer's Guide to the Sci-Fi Skirmish Game

Infinity N5 is Corvus Belli's high-octane sci-fi skirmish game, fought with small crews of stunningly detailed 28mm models. Unlike rank-and-file wargames, Infinity keeps both players involved on every turn through its famous Reactive system — when your opponent moves, you get to react. Here's how to get started.

What makes Infinity different

You only need around 10-15 models for a full force, so the buy-in is small and the painting is manageable. The game rewards clever maneuvering, hacking, camouflage, and combined-arms tactics over brute force. No model is ever truly safe, and no turn is ever boring.

Pick a faction

Each faction has a distinct flavour. PanOceania brings high-tech firepower and elite heavy infantry. Yu Jing fields disciplined warriors and powerful TAGs. Nomads excel at hacking and close-quarters mayhem, Haqqislam rewards skirmishing and resilience, and Ariadna relies on grit, camouflage, and sheer numbers. Start with Operation Sandtrap or an Army Pack

The Operation Sandtrap two-player battle pack is the ideal entry point — two starter forces, dice, terrain, and a learn-to-play booklet in one box. Prefer to commit to a single faction? An Essentials Army Pack gives you a ready-made core force at a great price.

The rules are free

Infinity's complete rules and unit profiles are available free through Corvus Belli's online Army builder and wiki, so you can learn and list-build before spending a penny on a rulebook.

Watch, then play
